This week, we are going to explore a unique design house project in Santa Monica, California. Lagaspi Courts Design created a fantastic project house. Here is what is interesting about this project, it was created as a design house that is also on the market. I suppose you could call this a spec home, but it really is so much more than that. This house was designed from the top down in a residential neighborhood in Santa Monica, with amazing views and a regional airport nearby. Often times, a design house project will be easy because the project producers only worry about creating a beautiful space for show. This house was created in the city of Santa Monica which is know for having some tough restrictions. It was produced close to a regional airport flight path and it was created with some elevation challenges. At the same time, it wasn’t just created for art’s sake, this home has to find a buyer. With all of these challenges, we have a remarkably close team consisting of developer Michael Farag, designer Edel Legaspi, and architect, Christopher Courts.
