In the first year of the Medical Cannabis Program in Maryland there were an estimated 84,000 lbs of polypropylene in the form of cannabis containers passed from the industry to the patients. All of which would end up in the landfills and waterways.  In this episode of Conversations with Maryjane we speak to Phil Ash co-founder of The High 5 Initiative.

Phil shares with us how a simple question led to a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that the cannabis industry specifically does not continue to contribute to an ever-growing waste crisis.

Thank you, Phil, for asking the right questions.
