Peter DuBois is the Executive Director for the California Dental Association, the largest state association in the nation. His passion for dentistry stems from his desire to alleviate suffering for as many patients as possible. Peter has a remarkable background with experience in public policy, research and advocacy, government service and management of large academic medical and dental practices, and even a degree from Harvard Law School!

In today’s episode, Shay warmly welcomes Peter DuBois to talk about the effects of COVID-19 in the dental community, and how these uncertain times have impacted his leadership style. Peter shares his experience with a “pandemic of sorts”, drawing parallel feelings from his youth during the Vietnam War. Coming from his own experience, Peter gives advice on how to overcome personal hardships and unexpected losses, something that may resonate with all of us.
