In this episode we interview Yolande Charles, the Founder and Executive Director of Afro Colombian Centre. There mission is to improve the lives of individuals and the Afro-Colombian community as a whole, with a focus on education, employment, health, recreation, culture and social justice.

Yolande shares how a trip to Cartagena Columbia sparked her mission to give back to the Afro-Colombian community. Although Yolande is a resident of Canada, she travels back and forth to Colombia to operate her organization. We discuss the multi-generational programs that they offer and how it is her goal to have the organization ran locally by the residents of Cartagena.
