On this week's interview episode I'm talking with Liz Sprague, a rancher, horse broker, and my sister-in-law!

Liz is a woman working in a male-dominated field. In this discussion, we get into the nitty gritty of her work on the ranch, how she started and runs her own horse brokerage business, and how she gets it all done without the help of a man.

According to Liz: "I grew up horseback. At about age 12 I was buying and selling horses. I've done every aspect involving horses from the race tack, horse shows, to barrel racing and now roping. Horses weren't enough for me so we expanded into buying cattle and ranching full time. Oh the long hours. It's so worth it to know I can do all these things on my own. From helping calves be born at 4 in the morning and running on a few hours of sleep for a couple months at a time. If you would have told me I'd be where I'm at today when I was in high school, I probably would have laughed and thought there's no way that I could work a full-time man's job. Here I am killing it!"
