This is part 2 of a 2 part interview with Maggie Ryan, check out part one of this interview here
About The GuestMaggie Ryan is a young, half Armenian half Irish entrepreneur living in Los Angeles. A citizen of the world, she traveled most of her childhood between Russia, the USA, and Armenia. During her junior year of college, she began working at PicsArt, a photo editing application. She successfully built an influencer program for PicsArt with 110M+ Monthly Active Users, quickly learning about the value of community. During her first few career years, she also was an early employee at Anchor, a podcasting application recently acquired by Spotify. At Anchor, she received a crash course in what it means to be in an early-stage startup, particularly in how to build a community from the ground up. After a few years of startup experience, she ventured out to create a startup called so fetch - seeking to elevate the way we interact with content and creating an honest, genuine conversation within community members. The company has a strong “no AI, no #ads, no influencer marketing” mission, seeking to create the next generation of content creators that are not dependent on, nor influenced by brands.
