Mike embarks on the first 5 issues of the War Of The Bounty Hunters 34-issue crossover event, which this month form “the prelude”! This story takes place just after Empire Strikes Back; carbonite-frozen Han Solo is stolen from Boba Fett on his way to collecting the bounty from Jabba The Hutt and now the whole galaxy is after Solo, including Luke & Chewie, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra, Beilert Valance, Dengar and many other bounty hunters - this is the crossover event of the decade, so is not one to be missed!

This story is set just after Empire Strikes Back (& after the first runs of the Star Wars, Darth Vader & Doctor Aphra comics) and the reading order is WoBH Alpha>SW13>BH12>DV12>DA10.

WoBH Alpha was released 5th May 2021, it written by Charles Soule with Steve McNiven as artist and Laura Martin as colour artist. SW13 was released 12th May 2021, it was written by Charles Soule with Ramon Rosanas as artist and Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist. BH12 was released 19th May 2021, it written by Ethan Sacks with Paolo Villanelli as artist and Arif Prianto as colour artist. DV12 was released 26th May 2021, it written by Greg Pak with Guiu Vilanova as artist and Dean White as colour artist along with Giada Marchiso.

DA10 was released 26th May 2021, it written by Alyssa Wong with Ray-Anthony Heigh as penciller, Victor Olazaba as inker and Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist.

Check out the last episode of SWCIC where Mike embarked on the penultimate Doctor Aphra story-arc from the 2016 run; The Unspeakable Rebel Superweapon! In addition to detailing what this superweapon is, these issues give backstory to Aphra’s relationship with her mother and shows a huge amount of trickery & madness (as standard with Aphra), plus Mike gives information on RA-7 protocol droids, Gigorans, the Empire’s Gallery Of Peace and more!
