Previous Episode: 7 - Batman (1989) Review

Generation-X was the first venture into the live action X-Men universe for Fox, and this TV movie was a whole 4 years before the 2000 X-Men movie.

Generation-X was a spin-off comic from the core X-Men books and it's first volume ran for 75 issues from 1994 to 2001. The movie was billed as a TV-pilot but was never developed into a series. The script borrows heavily from Nightmare on Elm Street and a little from the X-Men Animated Series, and characters are chosen and created very much with the budget in mind. Listen to see what we made of this first step on the way to bringing the X-Men to the big screen.
