Star Wars: Comics In Canon - Ep 41: Vader As Saviour, The Obsessed Woman & Other Strange Tales (Vader: Dark Visions)

This week features something a bit different; 5 stories showing 5 different Darth Vader stories, with artwork for each comic being by different people! In brief, the stories include; Vader as a savior on a unknown world, an imperial officer driven mad with fear, a woman hopelessly in love, a cocky rebel pilot, and a terrifying hallucinogenic trip, plus information on exogorths/space slugs (big worm from Empire Strikes Back).

Vader Dark Visions were all written by Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum (art all different per issue). Issue 1 was released March 2019, issue 5 June 2019 and the trade paperback was released August 2019.

Artists – 1: Paolo Villanelli, 2: Brian Level, 3: David Lopez & Javi Pina, 4: Stephen Mooney and 5: Geraldo Borges. Colourists – 1: Arif Prianto, 2: Jordan Boyd, 3: Muntsa Vicete, 4: Lee Loughbridge and 5: Marco Menyz.

In the last episode of SWCIC (episode 40), Mike tackled 6 individual comic stories, including R2-D2 taking out a whole Star Destroyer of stormtroopers, Sana & Lando’s con before Empire Strikes Back, Luke & Leia being stranded on an unknown planet, Han & Chewie taking Grakkus The Hutt prisoner, SCAR squadron finding a rebel base on Horox III and an angry Nikto from Han’s past causes trouble for him & Leia!
