Civic Tech - A two way street

While technology can be seen as a force that isolates us, it can also be what brings us together. What is Civic Tech and how can it help break down barriers between citizens and their governments? Through stories from Palestine and Tunisia we explore how technology can improve relationships and serve as a bridge between citizens and their governments. Two participants in UNDP’s regional Youth Leadership Programme, demonstrate how the use of Facebook bots and the development of applications can create new ways of civic engagement, interaction, and government responsiveness.
