Nurses on the front lines aren’t just our heroes during this COVID-19 crisis; they’re our heroes every day. Listen to Susan’s incredible story of overcoming many obstacles in her journey and how the hospital system has been affected in this season. From starting nursing school as a teen mom, to marrying her high school sweetheart very young (and staying married for over 40 years), to losing a child later in life, she’s never lost focus of her faith and her father’s advice to “shoot for the moon.”
In 2002, Susan was awarded the highest honor at Community Medical Centers for outstanding demonstration of the 5C’s, courtesy to patients, doctors, each other, cleanliness, and confidentiality. She is now learning robotic surgery. Learn more at https://www.communitymedical.org/. #colorforwardpod
