On today’s Collider Mailbag (March 9, 2019), John Rocha and Emma Fyffe answer the following questions from the Collider fans:1. Regarding the marketing of Shazam!, why is it that we haven’t seen as much advertising compared to something like Captain Marvel or even Detective Pikachu?2. With Disney+ coming soon and the recent success of The Umbrella Academy, could we see Marvel making an X-Men series focusing on Prof. Xavier’s School for the gifted children?3. Regarding Spielberg, is his displeasure focused in the correct place? Shouldn’t he be speaking to the studios? He has leverage with them. They are the ones cutting mid budget films for blockbusters and well known IP.4. At what point in your career were you 100% sure this is what you wanted to do for a living? And any pointers for fellow film makers and cinema dreamers?5. Do you think we could see a future where Marvel or even DC springs a surprise movie release on us? Netflix got a lot of attention when they dumped Cloverfield Paradox on us out of the blue. Could the studios maybe just forgo announcing a release date and the long traditional media blitz altogether?Follow Rocha: https://twitter.com/TheRochaSaysFollow Emma: https://twitter.com/EmmaFyffe
