On this episode of 1 on 1 WITH KRISTIAN HARLOFF, John Rocha sits in for Kristian to interview one of the legends from the world of VoiceOver, the great Jim Cummings. Jim has been the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger for multiple decades and he is here to promote the Blu-ray release of Christopher Robin starring Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael and Mark Gatiss. He shares some stories about his time working on the film and why he thinks the film’s message is one that resonates with audiences, both adult and child, today. Rocha, a VoiceOver artist himself, gets in depth with Cummings about how he went from living in New Orleans designing Mardi Gras floats and working on the river to voicing revered and beloved characters all over soundstages in LA. They speak about the business and how it has changed from when Cummings first walked into it to the direction it is heading in now. Cummings also shares some of his favorite stories recording these characters and also working on numerous Disney films and TV series. He shares a moving and heartwarming story about how he was chosen to be the voice of Tigger and shares some unique stories you probably won’t hear anywhere else. He also gives you some Winnie the Pooh and some Tigger to put a smile on your face and more!
