In 2019, Mason and his coaching staff was named the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II West Region Coaching Staff of the Year after engineering the Broncos to a 13-5-3 record and an 8-1-3 mark in CCAA action, earning their first NCAA postseason bid since 2014.
Mason's career has taken him through many aspects of the professional world. While coaching at St. Edward's, he was also a member of the faculty, teaching a number of Kinesiology classes. He has also served as the director of Goalkeeping/South DOC/Coach of the Dallas Texans Austin Division. Mason also served as the Head Goalkeeper Trainer of the Austin Capitals.
