The EU reversed plans to invoke article 16 of the Northern Ireland Protocol on Friday after a furious reaction from British officials and the bloc's own member states. The move, which could have seen vaccines from the continent blocked from entering Northern Ireland, came after the EU Commission rowed pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca over its delivery shortfall.
