This podcast teaches a very simple 50/50 rule every manager should adopt when they embark on their new leadership career. Often, new leaders focus on gaining 100% buy in from the team which can be an exercise in frustration. The 50/50 rule really positions new leaders to truly understand dynamics of a team they may inherit or have to create or build. The goal of the any leadership position Is to challenge the team to perform as well as position each and every member to achieve their personal and professional goals while supporting the team in the organization. This presents many moving targets and will encompass members of the team presenting conflict , discord with the team movement and momentum, trust, etc. All of this will require new managers to converse & coach to develop talent.
