CGP Ep358 HOW TO LEARN ANYTHING

Its time to make 2020 a year you accomplished X. Its the final 1/4 and no-one is throwing in the towel! I am challenging you to learn something new. TODAY! Anything you want to learn. ANYTHING! Just listen to this week’s episode and follow the process. 1. Mindset: Drop ego, fears, and insecurity if you are going to embark on a learning journey. Start where you are, don't play the comparison game otherwise you won't start. 2. Credibility Filter: Find the best trusted resources for your learning journey. Whether that's books, courses, certifications, individuals with actual credibility in the field you're trying to learn in. For some people it would be a combo of these. 3. Pick platform that works for you: Not everyone is a book reader, that's ok. Don't be afraid to experiment with audio podcasts, videos, in-person classes, zoom's, chat forums but find a platform and use it. 4. Application: The step 90% of people miss, they want to seem/look/sound smart 'Uh yes I read that book'. But did you DO IT, apply it? You learn and grow through application, your first tries will suck, keep showing up. 5. Community: Highly unlikely you will stick with it, or gain the feedback you need unless your learning goal has a community element to it. Whether you design your own community (book club discussion) or there's an existing group (forum, course participants, industry) 6.
