Al Vermeil is a legend! Al is to the world of strength and conditioning what Steve Jobs is to technology, The Beatles are to music and Bruce Lee is to martial arts. Al holds championship rings from the 49ers during the Montana era, the Bulls during the Jordan era, plus championships in MLB! Al has been inducted into the Strength Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003. Before I had the opportunity to meet Al I always thought that the fitness industry was a career for young fit professionals who would work on their craft while they develop their exit strategy for their second career. After spending quality time with Al I realized that the career of the strength and conditioning coach never ends. Passion, intensity and 100% commitment to life long learning is the path that Al has been on and continues to drive him toward his own personal greatness. His impact on his athletes expands greater than the strength and power gains they developed but more importantly encompasses their personal development from the coaching and compassion he gave each of his students. Al Vermeil is one of the most popular @Perform_Better speakers and valued member of the @mytpi TPI Fitness Advisory Board. I am so blessed to have Al as my mentor, colleague and friend. I am sure you will enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it.
