CLONE YOURSELF (Scale Your Business With Virtual Assistants)

87 episodes - English - Latest episode: over 2 years ago - ★★★★★ - 83 ratings

Welcome to Clone Yourself where you’ll learn things like, who a Virtual Assistant (VA) is, why you need one (or more) and tasks you can give them! You’ll also get tips and tricks on hiring your first VA, where to find them and how to manage them, including conducting training and measuring their performance. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the number of projects and tasks you're juggling, you’ve come to the right podcast! Learn how to “Clone Yourself” to get more done! Hiring VA’s to support my business and content I create is the real reason why the Silicon Valley Business Journal named me to their 40 Under 40 List! In the past 5 years, I have overhauled my business to run itself (while increasing sales year over year) so that I could focus on creating content. It all started with a failed training to scale my business with actual employees. I had to re-evaluate everything I did in my business and that's when I made the conscious decision to move away from an employee biz model to a VA (virtual assistant) biz model. This became the defining moment of my career.I couldn't be happier! I no longer go to the office. I no longer have to deal with the headaches of employees (let's be real)... AND now I have 7-10 VA's for the price of what was 1 employee!

#80: Becoming MicroFamous w/ Matt Johnson

November 23, 2021 16:00 - 41 minutes - 28.4 MB

I enjoyed the authenticity and truth in my conversation today with Matt Johnson.   It seems these days we are always talking about "being vulnerable" or "being authentic." I feel, however, that when people talk about it with regards to social media, it is with the intention of being seen. Don't worry I'm occasionally guilty of it too - guilty of wanting the likes and getting caught up in the game sometimes!  One of the reasons I respect Matt so much is that he openly talks about it and the...

#42: When To Move On From a VA

January 23, 2020 15:00 - 11 minutes - 7.58 MB

One model business owners often follow is, “Hire slow. Fire fast.” With VA’s, I say “Hire Fast” because you want to get up and running as fast as possible. They are VA’s, so you don’t have the same commitment as you do when hiring full-time employees. In earlier pods, I also talk about giving VAs tiny objective tasks that lead to larger projects. This allows you to test a VA, which helps the "hire fast" model work. But, at the end of the day, if things don’t work out, just move on! To hear ...
