According to a new report from Presidents Lane Consulting, in partnership with three think tanks Reason Foundation, Pioneer Institute, and Cicero Institute, millions of Americans tried telehealth for the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic. To support that use during the public health crisis, federal officials made changes to Medicare and governors advanced health access with flexible waivers. But… what happens when the public health crisis is over?

The new report and accompanying toolkit, titled Rating the States on Telehealth Best Practices: A Toolkit for a Pro-Patient and Provider Landscape, aim to help state policymakers implement best practices for ensuring that providers and patients can fully realize the benefits of using telehealth services in perpetuity.

Josh Archambault, Founder of Presidents Lane Consulting, joined Vital Insights to talk about the new report.
