Classics You Slept Through: Episode 55 - The Picture of Dorian Gray (Chapters 1 -3)

Today we're beginning The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde. The only novel written by the poet and playwright, it was highly controversial and caused a great deal of outrage, despite the publisher censoring the most offensive portions.

We're reading the revised 1891 book version, which includes a preface in defense of art, which responds to some of the criticism the book previously received.

This one is pretty deep, so send us those thoughts, and we'll work our way through it next episode.
