Originally released on Stax 0125. This is the first reissue on Stax's Double Hitter series, in its original factory sleeve. Here's one of those rare cases where I think Dave Marsh missed a big one that should have been included in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made. The sinuous beat and show-stopping vocals on this recording make me stop and pay attention every time! I'm glad to see that it shows up on the Rolling Stones Top 500 list. This reissue presents the original recording in full, living stereo!
