Claremont's Wendy Ramallo thought she had found "it" several times over - California's sun, law school, working at Los Angeles high-profile law firms, Washington DC, the Robert Kennedy Memorial, working with Father Greg Boyle (founder of Home Boy Industries) among other key positions.  These all had both financial and spiritual rewards.  However, she knew there was something...more.  Her innate passion for doing something for someone else, combined with her skills as a lawyer and experience working on gun violence issues was catalyzed by the Uvalde, Texas shooting incident.  She almost involuntarily reached out to Moms Demand Action to assist, knowing she had to do...something.  So she founded the Pomona Valley Chapter as a way of exponentially increasing the local difference she could make.

Wendy was kind enough to press "pause" one cool, quiet morning and join Claremont Speaks at Studio des Arbres d'Ombre.  She recounts the life-journey that brought her to  Claremont and then become the spark and driving force...or local coordinator...of the PVMDA's effort to reduce gun violence.   CAUTION: Listening to Wendy's inspiring, motivational episode may cause an uncontrollable urge to get involved and help however you can.  Side effects may include a penchant for eliminating  accidental/suicidal gun deaths and a partiality for voting for true "gun sense" CUSD and City Council candidates.
