Ennis Chamber claims a new report proves the need for investment within the county town in order to create local jobs. A socio-economic profile of Ennis produced by People & Place Consultants in partnership with Ennis Chamber was launched on Friday at an event attended by Tánaiste Micheál Martin. The report shows that of the 12,204 Ennis residents who are in employment, 19.5% work in a different part of Clare and more than 18% work outside the county. President of Ennis Chamber of Commerce Sheila Lynch is calling on those with the power to provide employment opportunities to have faith in what the town has to offer.
