Captain Jemaine was destined to be a firefighter since the day he first cast a spell. But Jemaine's recent run-ins with fire wizards have left him tired and bitter. He's started questioning everything he's ever know. Does the carpentry guild truly know what's best for the town; is there a reason fire wizards attack so frequently; why does wood burn, but stone doesn't? The answers to these questions might cost Captain Jemaine more than his job.
