Shoojit Sircar waited over twenty years to film the true story of Udham Singh, an Indian revolutionary who assassinated General Michael O'Dwyer in London in 1940. Udham (Vickey Kaushal) witnessed the massacre of innocent men, women, and children in Punjab in 1919 and vowed revenge. Sardar Udham is a painstaking look at his journey. It's brilliantly told and mounted.
