Previous Episode: Gwen and The Lodge

This week on the Cinema Vertigogo Podcast, we take a look at two brilliant films that are painfully relevant today.

First up, the Oscar-nominated 2019 film out of France, Les Miserables, which examines systemic failure and police brutality in the ethnically diverse suburbs of Paris.

Then it's off to the war-torn city of Tehran for the 2016 horror film, Under the Shadow, which follows a mother and daughter as they try to survive the Iran-Iraq War in a small apartment complex.
