From director Christopher Nolan, best known for: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Intersteller, and Inception. Tells a story of two dueling stage magicians.
Set during the turn of the century, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman), Angier's wife, and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) are stage hands to a famous magician. However, during a trick-gone-wrong, Angier's wife dies on stage and blames Borden for her death. Becoming bitter enemies, they set to one up each other, no matter the cost. Which then leads them down a road towards the strange with Nikola Tesla (David Bowie) and the tragic with Borden's assistant (Scarlett Johansson).
