This is my work, therapy and way of venting, my activity I enjoy and have a passion for! I just recently went through this and am thankful for the prayers and people that still show love and hospitality! Know that there are resources and other outlets other than drugs and alcohol, or doing wrong.

Remember a simple smile, a hello, a wave makes a difference! Common courtesy like opening a door for someone... mind your manners!

How To Take Care Of Yourself

Talk to someone: Silence isn’t strength. Don’t keep suicidal feelings to yourself. Lean on your support network, find a therapist or a support group, or get in touch with the Lifeline.

Make a safety plan: Have a step-by-step plan ready for if/when you feel depressed, suicidal, or in crisis, so you can start at step one and continue through the steps until you feel safe.

Build your support network: Having a sense of belonging to one’s culture, or a strong tribal/spiritual bond can be helpful. Discuss problems with family or friends — feeling connected to others can create positive emotional health.

Find an activity you enjoy: Taking care of yourself is an important part of your recovery. Your “self-care” activities can be anything that makes you feel good about yourself.

[1Pe 5:1-11 KJV] (1) The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: (2) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; (3) Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. (4) And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. (5) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. (10) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. (11) To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
