Christmas TV History, episode 5: A Christmas Carol

TV adaptations of Charles Dickens' classic story A Christmas Carol are as old as TV itself. In this 35-minute podcast, author Joanna Wilson surveys the most noteworthy Christmas Carol adaptations from the earliest days of TV through today. Wilson's commentary includes productions that have been more experimental, such as Carol for Another Christmas (1964), written by Rod Serling, as well as more faithful adaptations, such as A Christmas Carol (1984), starring George C. Scott. The author also delves into comedic versions of the story, as well as adaptations for half-hour sitcoms, animation, and made-for-TV-movies.
