FAITH OVER FEAR
A campaign encouraging homeowners to place crosses in their front yards has spread to at least six US states, with supporters hoping to spread an Easter message of hope during the COVID-19 pandemic. Facebook in recent days has been filled with thousands of pictures of crosses displayed by homeowners in Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Louisiana, Arkansas and Florida. According to christianheadlines.com the “Faith over Fear” movement originated in Middle Georgia. (Some are calling it “Faith not Fear.”) Many homeowners are putting Christmas lights on the crosses.

CARL LENTZ
As New York became the epicentre of the coronavirus in the USA, one of the city’s key pastors, Hillsong’s Carl Lentz, tested positive for Covid-19. The Christian Post reported him as saying: “I’m good … Let me tell you something. It is definitely real … the symptoms are so real. It’s kind of like a flu times 50 … still don’t feel like myself.” He added, “My breath is a lot shorter. Fatigue is a lot quicker. My advice to people is, try to take this as seriously as you can.”

EASTER SERVICES IN 2020
For the first time in living memory, a pope delivered mass on Palm Sunday in an empty St Peter's Basilica without the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. Elsewhere, parish priests in Rome took to rooftops and bell towers to lead services. Australia's Channel 7 is broadcasting Easter services from St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney, both live and commercial-free. It televised the Lord’s Passion at 3pm on Good Friday, and the Easter Sunday Mass from 10.30am across the country on Channel 7 and on Prime 7 in regional areas. It can also be live-streamed on 7plus. Many other churches around the country will also be live streaming their Easter services.
