The privilege of inheritance can be an amazing reality. Perhaps we might try to imagine the wealthy citizens of this world and what they might pass on to their children. We commoners will never know even the most basic privileges due to certain select family relationships in this world.
There is a problem. We are born in sin and born separated from the life of God. This whole world displays the reality of sin and separation from God very clearly. And, on top of this, the very Law of God condemns us all. The good news (gospel) is that God promised to send a Redeemer. Please meditate on these two verses in God's Word: "But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a women, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons" (Galatians 4:5-6).
