The Apostle Peter stated that the Old Testament prophets searched intently and with the greatest care trying to find out what the Spirit of Christ in them was predicting concerning the future believers. He said that even angels long to look into these things. All this has been made possible, Peter tells us, because we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. So sure was God's plan of salvation in human history that Jesus was chosen to be our Savior before the creation of the world.
All this and more has been revealed in the first chapter of the first letter of Peter. What now? Now, we all have a calling on our lives. We are called to love one another deeply from our hearts. We are also called to represent God and his salvation to a lost and dying world. We now have a calling of priesthood.
