Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, September 5, 2021, the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. 

Do not be afraid! The more we immerse ourselves in prayer and His Word, the more we will trust in Him rather than “trusting” in the destructive power of the circumstances. So we call upon Him, Whom St. Paul reminds us gives us power to take every thought captive. We rebuke the thoughts of fear and trust Him instead!
