Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 24, 2018, the Solemnity of the Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church at Christ the King, by Fr. Ed Fride, Christ the King Catholic Church. (June 24, 2018, was the 17th Anniversary of the Dedication of Christ the King's Church. With the permission of Bishop Boyea, Christ the King celebrated this proper solemnity instead of the scheduled universal calendar solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.)
Fr. Ed reflects on the events leading up to the dedication of the church and the call of the Lord Jesus on our parish to be filled with the Holy Spirit that we might proclaim Him to the world.
