Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 15, 2018, the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. This homily is the second in a series of homilies on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. (The first homily in the series is available by clicking here.)
Fr. Ed reflects on the ways in which Jesus is really present in the Mass: in the priest, the assembled people, the Word, and "maximally" present in the Eucharist. The Introductory Rites of the Mass call us to prepare for the great gifts of His Word and His Body and Blood, which we are about to receive.
