Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 22, 2019, the Fourth Sunday of Advent, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church.
Fr. Ed continues his series on Pope St. John Paul the Great's four pillars of spirituality that help us to grow in union with Jesus and to become more aware of His Presence with us: the Eucharistic, contemplative, charismatic, and Marian.
After reviewing the previous three pillars, Fr. Ed turns to the fourth pillar, the contemplative. The fourth pillar is in one sense the foundation for all the rest. Contemplation prepares us for Him to be born more deeply within us.
