Homily given at the 7:30 pm Mass on Thursday, August 15, 2019, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by Dcn. Gerry Holowicki, Christ the King Catholic Church.

The second reading for this feast speaks of Jesus as the firstfruits of the Resurrection, followed by all other members of the Body of Christ in their proper order. Dcn. Gerry reflects on the fact that Mary, having been assumed into Heaven, now has a mission mirroring that of Jesus. Dcn. Gerry then shares some personal experiences in his relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary.
