Drake talks with Cynthia, her mom, Nereda, and sister, Adrianna, all represented in this episode by Michelle Zuniga's voice. Michelle served as an interpreter of Mexican Sign Language along with her husband, Chuy, who was also translating into Spanish for Nereda and Adrianna during the interview. They discuss what it looks like to be a family that values learning to communicate with sign language in a culture that views signing with disapproval and fear, and how powerful it is for Cynthia to have a family that cares deeply to know, love and communicate with her as best as they can.

Con Mis Manos is a ministry that reaches out to the deaf in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The Zuniga’s ministry provides a safe place where the deaf can live, learn valuable skills and experience the family of Christ.
