Everyone knows that feeling of desperation. Maybe it was when you went out past where you could touch in the pool before you could swim well. Maybe it was when the doctor called about the results of a routine test. Maybe it was when your job was eliminated due to a merger. Those moments of feeling the need for rescue. These become mile markers in our lives. Moments that shape us and how we understand and tell our stories.
This morning as a church family we are beginning a new message series through the New Testament book of Romans. In this inspired letter we encounter the good news of an unfolding rescue story for all humanity including you and me. We are going to see that we follow a God who rescues.
