12 March 2017 - Guest speaker Sarah Colyn from Ministries of Pastoral Care states that our primary cure is Communion with God; God is always with us even when our senses do not perceive Him and as we maintain spiritual disciplines, by the effort of our will, we affirm to our souls that God is here with us. Believers throughout history have shown this to be true. She stresses the importance of obedience to God saying, “Understanding comes after obedience,” “We find out who we are as we obey God,” and “Obedience is the consequence of Loving.” She exhorts us to always stay our hearts and minds on God; Ministry effectiveness comes out of this ongoing communion.
