🥟 I'm delighted to introduce fellow BBC Yee onto this episode. Co-Founder of one of the best places to eat dumplings... DUMPLING SHACK. I'm such a fan girl and I still can't believe I managed to speak with Yee. Dumpling Shack started off their street food stall in Broadway Market in 2014 selling pan fried dumplings (aka shengjianbaos) and now they're one of the most successful Chinese food stalls in East London. I still remember the soup bursting with flavour in my mouth with my first bite 🤤. In this episode, we talk about our time working with our parents at the Chinese takeaway, whether Yee would open a Chinese bakery shop in East London 🤔, how she met her husband John (Boss man) and their Chinese wedding ceremony (covid style). If you're in London, go and check out Dumpling Shack (and their cute bro Fen Noodles) at Spitalfields Market and the new Dumpling Shack in South Quay.
