Biosphere 2: Scientific Experiment or Publicity Stunt?

On September 26th, 1991, in Oracle, Arizona, eight intelligent scientists were sealed inside an enclosed biome, Biosphere 2 for two years and twenty minutes. They were hailed as visionaries, forging a new path for scientific research and space travel. The air was bright with hope and potential. But soon, all of that soured with crop failure, oxygen shortages, deception and internal conflict, and suspicions began to arise amongst the Biospherians themselves, the general public, and management -- was Biosphere 2 legitimate science or simply just a publicity stunt?
