Stefan Baumann is an Austrian urban urbexer who has been exploring and documenting abandoned locations since 2011. In today’s interview Stefan talks about what UrbEx is really about, his mistakes of the past and appreciating the future. Stefan reflected on his urbex career, collecting coordinates, belonging to urbex-groups and competitively chasing spots. Stefan describes chilling close encounter story of getting challenged by copper thieves at abandoned prison. In our talk we also touched on exploring abandoned places versus harming the hobby and we try to reflect and find the balance between those. I did a little update on what happened to me, my injury and why the pod was delayed for a month.
