Welcome to the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast. Today’s show features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin speaking with photographer Nelson Morales, immediately following the September 8 Creative Mornings Charlotte event at Warehouse 242, where Nelson spoke about the global theme of “compassion”.
Nelson Morales is a photographer born in the Oaxaca region of Mexico. His photography focuses on a third gender of people in Mexico, the muxe community. Nelson is currently based out of Mexico City, but will be spending the next three months as an artist in residency at the McColl Center, as well as having his work viewed in exhibitions at the Light Factory and Mint Museum.
