Bryce Laguer - "Intention"

Welcome to the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast. Today’s show features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin speaking with Bryce Laguer, co-owner of Basal Coffee, immediately following the July 13 Creative Mornings Charlotte event at The Fillmore Charlotte, where Bryce spoke about the global theme of “Intention.”
A native of New Jersey, Bryce has found a home in Charlotte as the co-owner of Basal Coffee, an exciting new coffee shop located inside LaCa Projects. The word “basal” refers to a foundation, base or essence. Bryce and his wife designed Basal to offer Charlotte a welcoming place, as well as a social hub of multicultural affairs that highlights Charlotte’s West Side. Basal is founded on four principles: Care, Sustenance, Service and Creativity.
In this episode of the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast, Bryce talks about why he chose Charlotte instead of cities like New York or LA, what he wants his family to see when they see him at work, his thoughts on mortality and his favorite Columbian and Jersey phrases.
