On this episode we have the pleasure of talking with the color commentator for the Charlotte FC Radio English (and British 🇬🇧) broadcasts, Jessica Charman.
Jessica shares with us how she came to this position, her life growing up in England, her goalkeeper mindset, and her drive to be authentic and real. She also opens up about how she almost quit broadcasting and what and who inspired her to be where she is today.
Jessica left the village of Harefield, England outside London to begin her playing career at Clayton State University in the States where she earned several honors including being nominated as NCAA Woman of the Year in 2018, all while earning her Journalism degree there. She has been the voice of Peach Belt Conference Soccer Championships and Mercer University soccer, as well as broadcasting for Atlanta United 2.Â
