Dr. George Reed is the Dean of the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He is a scholar, educator, speaker, and self-admitted leadership junkie who serves the students, staff, and faculty of one of America’s great universities. He was a military officer for 27 years where he practiced leadership as a military police officer in the United States Army in positions of increasing responsibility culminating with his retirement from active duty in 2007 as a colonel. While on active duty he proudly served as a paratrooper, criminal investigations supervisor, and his last assignment was as professor and Director of Command and Leadership Studies at the United States Army War College. His book, Tarnished: Toxic Leadership in the US Military was published in 2015 and available on Amazon or at all major booksellers.
