Husband, father, executive, founder and senior pastor. Answering the call to excellence within and beyond the church, Pastor Quinton has unapologetically carved his own lane for as a servant-leader.

As a relentless, compassionate, and gifted administrator, Pastor Quinton serves as a Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing & Communications at Fontbonne University, one of the nation’s storied liberal arts universities located in a picturesque suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to accepting this assignment in 2020, he relocated his wife Karen and their two sons to St. Louis from the suburbs of Chicago. Together, Pastor Quinton and Pastor Karen have followed God’s leading to launch Pillar of Fire Church in November 2021.

Before answering God’s call to ministry, Pastor Quinton served in various ministerial roles for nearly 18+ years, which began by default as a pastor’s son. He was mentored and nourished by his parents, a ministry power couple in Superintendent Gilbert and Lady Mary Clay of Miracle Central COGIC in Waterloo, Iowa.  Pastor Quinton attained a rugged undergraduate education in Communication Arts and Public Relations at Wartburg College (Waverly, Iowa) and a dynamic graduate education in Integrated Marketing Communications at St. Bonaventure University (St. Bonaventure, New York).

Pastor Quinton’s professional journey is marked by unprecedented ascension in higher education leadership. Throughout his 17+ year professional career, Pastor Quinton has held successive roles at a number of the nation’s top-ranked universities, including an appointment at a prestigious Ivy League university, which led to his current position as chief enrollment and marketing officer. Within each of these roles, Pastor Quinton was a champion and architect for policies that addressed the challenges in access to higher education for low-income communities, students of color, and students who would be the first in their families to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

Pastor Quinton’s work has led him to travel to 38+ states and nine countries. He has also been featured in a number of national and local interviews, news stories, live news segments, and publications.

As the Senior Pastor and Founder of Pillar of Fire Church, Pastor Quinton has laid the foundation for a spirit-led ministry that compels the lost and worships and glorifies God through the development, refinement, and execution of His perfect gifts.
