The world’s largest salmon farming company is being investigated amid claims that it has misreported the volume of chemicals used to ward off disease.
Mowi, formerly known as Marine Harvest, is one of a number of companies which are being scrutinised by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
Farmed salmon are treated with chemicals to prevent disease and infestations of sea lice, but there are limits on the volumes of chemicals that can be used.
